-Eu não posso falar o palavrão que eu tava com vontade de falar – disse o técnico brasileiro.

No entanto, o auxiliar-técnico da Seleção Brasileira, Cléber Xavier, deixou o protocolo de lado e colocou para fora o que o treinador do Brasil queria falar.

Tite já havia dito em entrevista coletiva antes da partida contra a Colômbia, nesta quinta-feira (11), na Neo Química Arena, que enxergava a Seleção Brasileira classificada para a Copa do Mundo, mas o triunfo por 1 a 0, pela 11ª rodada das Eliminatórias colocou os brasileiros matematicamente no Mundial do ano que vem.

Mas o duelo contra os colombianos não foi fácil. Após um primeiro tempo truncado, com forte marcação da seleção adversária, o treinador precisou mexer no time no intervalo, colocando Vinicius Júnior no lugar de Fred, modificando o esquema de jogo e principalmente o posicionamento de Lucas Paquetá, autor do gol da vitória.

-Quando as equipes vêm enfrentar o Brasil, temos que nos preparar para situações que possam acontecer. Quando eu ia jogar contra o Santos de Neymar, eu tinha que fechar os links para a bola não chegar nele. Muitas vezes conseguimos construir essa situação. Foi o que a Colômbia fez, ela fez um tripé no meio-campo, fechou o lado do Neymar e colocando intensidade de marcação restringindo os espaços – disse Tite em entrevista coletiva após o jogo.

– Como colamos o Neymar no Paquetá, ficamos com a posse, mas não tínhamos a infiltração e finalização contundente. O que teve no segundo tempo? Aí é agradecimento a minha comissão. Em cima dos movimentos do que a Juventus faz, o Alex Sandro e Danilo fazem. Eles fazem construções como terceiro defensor e como jogador mais avançado. Como fecharam o lado do Neymar, trouxemos o Paquetá para dentro e colocamos um aberto de lado. Para criar mais espaços e gerar dificuldade ao adversário. Amplitude do Raphinha, do Vinícius, um entrelinhas, o Paquetá, um construção ofensiva, Neymar, e Gabriel Jesus na frente – acrescentou o treinador.

Agora, matematicamente classificado para a Copa do Mundo, Tite e a Seleção Brasileira terão como missão fazer diferente do que foi na Mundial da Rússia, em 2018, quando os brasileiros foram derrotados por 2 a 1 pela Bélgica nas quartas de final e deram adeus antecipadamente à competição.

Na ocasião, o técnico não ficou durante todo o ciclo de preparação de uma Copa, tendo sido contratado em junho de 2016, após a saída de Dunga. E para o treinador, o fato de agora ter feito um trabalho de ponta a ponta entre mundiais é algo motivador.

-A única coisa que me move é fazer um ciclo inteiro, coisa que na última oportunidade não foi feito. Foi isso que me moveu. Eu não me ofereci para a Seleção, o meu empresário não foi buzinar no ouvido de ninguém, eu trabalhei para chegar. Eu peguei na metade de um processo, fomos até o final, vocês sabem a história, fui convidado depois de novo para um processo inteiro. Tal qual fiz no Grêmio, Corinthians, Caxias… Aí pensei, pensei, poxa, talvez essa minha trajetória profissional me permita fazer um período inteiro. É isso que me move – destacou o comandante da Seleção Brasileira.

O primeiro desafio da Seleção após a confirmação de classificação para a Copa do Mundo, será na próxima terça-feira (16), em San Juan, ainda pelas Eliminatórias. Será o último confronto do Brasil em 2021, já com a cabeça no ano que vem, com a disputa do Mundial.

O Flamengo volta a campo nesta terça-feira (23) para encarar o Grêmio, na Arena do Grêmio, também pelo Brasileirão. Depois, volta suas atenções para a final da Copa Libertadores, no sábado que vem (27), diante do Palmeiras.

DEZ MINUTOS FULMINANTES

O Internacional ensaiou uma tentativa de tomar a iniciativa do jogo, apostando em lançamentos para Taison e Patrick. Mas o Flamengo precisou de poucos minutos avassaladores para abrir uma vantagem segura.

Em arrancada iniciada por Andreas Pereira, Vitinho passou e, após corta-luz de Michael, Gabigol bateu colocado no fundo da rede. Diante de um adversário desconcentrado, o Rubro-Negro teve cautela para ampliar o marcador logo depois. Em um contra-ataque, Vitinho esticou para Everton Ribeiro. O camisa 7, de primeira, lançou e Andreas Pereira surgiu livre para completar.

COM O PÉ NO ACELERADOR!

Aos poucos, a equipe colorada se organizou ofensivamente e trouxe perigo para o Flamengo. Depois de uma bola alçada, Taison exigiu Diego Alves. Em seguida, o camisa 1 se desdobrou para evitar tentativa de Palacios à queima-roupa. Porém, por mais que o Inter se esmerasse ir à frente em investidas de Patrick e Edenílson, o Rubro-Negro era mais incisivo.

Os comandados de Renato Gaúcho aproveitavam os espaços adversários e engatavam sucessivos contra-ataques com Michael e Vitinho. Em um deles, Everton Ribeiro caiu na área e o Flamengo pediu pênalti após choque com Mosiés. Em seguida, Michael e Vitinho exigiram Marcelo Lomba. Everton Ribeiro encontrou Vitinho e o camisa 11 serviu para Gabigol. Porém, o centroavante finalizou para fora.

INTER REAGE E DEIXA JOGO ‘FRANCO’

O fôlego foi a arma para o Internacional mostrar seu poderio ofensivo. Taison se lançou no contra-ataque, fez a tabela com Palacios e bateu rasteiro na saída de Diego Alves.

Em seguida, Saravia abriu caminho para Edenilson, mas o meia finalizou sem força e viu o goleiro rubro-negro defender. Diante de um Flamengo hesitante na marcação, o Inter teve nova oportunidade com Palacios. A reta final rendeu novo momento de pressão. Após lançamento de Dourado, Edenilson escorou e Diego Alves saltou para defender. Na sobra, Patrick emendou de primeira, mas David Luiz se desdobrou para salvar em cima da linha.

INTER LUTA E FLA PERDE CHANCES

A volta do intervalo trouxe um Internacional mais organizado e que batalhava para retomar as rédeas da partida. Além da forte pressão e buscar investidas com Patrick e Palacios, o time da casa assustou em cobrança de falta de Moisés e em jogada na qual Taison concluiu rente à trave.

Mesmo diante do novo panorama, o Flamengo continuava a colecionar chances desperdiçadas. Filipe Luís cruzou e Gabigol cabeceou para fora. Vitinho concluiu, a bola chegou a desviar em Cuesta, mas Marcelo Lomba defendeu. O goleiro colorado também salvou chance de Gabigol.

Michael tentava arrancadas, mas se atrapalhava ao se desvencilhar de Saravia. Em boa investida, Vitinho passou como quis pela esquerda, só que chutou muito mal. Em nova brecha nas costas de Saravia, Gabigol lançou e Kenedy encheu o pé. Marcelo Lomba saltou para salvar.

PRESSÃO, VAR E… VITÓRIA DO FLAMENGO!

As alterações aumentaram o ímpeto ofensivo do Internacional na reta final. Em cobrança de escanteio, Patrick desviou de cabeça e, diante de Diego Alves obrigou William Arão a se desdobrar para salvar de chaleira. Em seguida, Taison encheu o pé e a bola passou rente à trave de Diego Alves.

Com as mudanças promovidas por Renato Gaúcho (inclusive De Arrascaeta voltando a campo), o Flamengo chegou a comemorar um gol. Matheuzinho desceu pela direita, Gabigol desviou e Marcelo Lomba fez a defesa. Na sobra, Kenedy mandou para a rede. Contudo, o VAR anulou a jogada por impedimento do camisa 9 rubro-negro.

Os comandados de Diego Aguirre continuaram a lutar, mas tropeçavam em seus erros e abriam caminhos para contra-ataques. Com um início de jogo impecável e postura impetuosa, o Rubro-Negro garantiu os três pontos e se mantém na “caça” à liderança do Brasileirão. Além disto, ganhou ainda mais moral perto da decisão da Libertadores.

Like many Premier League clubs, Manchester United have had a lot of players away representing their countries during these last two weeks. It has been an opportunity for them to get away from club football and get back into form with their countries.

The Red Devils have seen four of their five summer signings go away on international duty, with Joshua Zirkzee impressing with the Netherlands as he netted in their 5-2 win over Bosnia & Herzegovina.

Meanwhile, Manuel Ugarte has also impressed once again while playing for Uruguay, as he completed 78 minutes and 90 minutes in the two outings. As well as these two players impressing, Diogo Dalot and Bruno Fernandes also done well while on duty with Portugal, as the pair both got on the scoresheet, as it was two wins from two.

Man United have seen many of their other international players excel while on duty, even seeing academy player James Scanlon, who is yet to make his debut for the club, score for Gibraltar and now is just five goals away from their all-time leading goalscorer. But it wasn’t all plain sailing for United’s international players, as one in particular didn't have a great time.

Netherlands and Manchester United defender Matthijs De Ligt was slammed for his performance on Tuesday night against Germany, with the international making a mistake that cost his country the win.

De Ligt started in the Netherlands’ game against Bosnia & Herzegovina, and despite them winning 5-2, the Dutch centre-back did make an unfortunate mistake to make the game a nervy ending. He retained his place in the starting XI against Germany on Tuesday, but once again he made a mistake and was pulled off at half-time, and now there is speculation that his international career may be in jeopardy for the time being.

Pundit Pierre van Hooijdonk for NOS said on De Ligt’s performance: “He had a similar moment in the beginning, where he actually loses the ball in a simple way by means of a pass. And then it happens a second time. That is terrible for De Ligt.

“Ultimately, top sport is very tough, and then it’s over. We all think De Ligt is a great player, but how often has this happened to the Dutch national team? And at almost all crucial moments. At some point, it stops, especially when you have competitors who are of a high level.”

Rising summer temperatures have led to the PCB shifting a training camp of Pakistan Women from Multan to Karachi.Last week, ESPNcricinfo had highlighted how big a challenge the extreme weather – where temperatures have hovered over 42 degrees Celsius – would pose for the 26-member contingent during their 25-day camp in Multan.At the time, while acknowledging the severity of the conditions, the PCB has said it had few other options but to hold the camp in Multan, given numerous challenges including the need to prepare a bio-secure bubble in the time of the Covid-19 pandemic.Karachi had been earlier ruled out due to a surge in covid-19 cases, while grounds in Central Punjab, according to Urooj Mumtaz, the chair of the PCB’s women’s selection committee, are presently undergoing renovation.Historically during the summer months, the PCB has mostly held camps in Abbottabad, which is located in the hilly Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa province and experiences relatively temperate weather. This move comes seven days into the camp, with the women’s team now set to train at Hanif Mohammad Hig Performance Centre.The Multan camp will be wrapped up by Monday, with all players and support staff likely to travel to Lahore by road on Tuesday morning, before boarding a flight to Karachi the next day. The revised camp will resume from Wednesday, with the team spending another 18 days in Karachi as part of the originally designed 25-day camp, which is set to conclude on June 22.The PCB and SLC are understood to be in talks for a potential series in Sri Lanka in July, Wirth the camp serving as preparation for the series. There will have been some doubters from the get-go when Zohore penned a bumper deal to move to West Brom, having not exactly been an unbelievable goal machine when lining up for Cardiff prior to making the switch.

The Danish striker would only find the back of the net an underwhelming 24 times from 101 total clashes for the Bluebirds, with many left wondering why West Brom – then managed by Slaven Bilic – had forked out £8m to win his services as a result.

Zohore was prone to a purple patch in front of goal in the Welsh capital from time to time, but eyebrows were rightly raised about why the second-tier side decided to splash the cash on an attacker once described as being “lazy” by outspoken former Bluebirds boss Neil Warnock.

The Scandinavian forward would just never settle at West Brom, with the towering 6 foot 2 striker only registering a lacklustre five goals from 23 appearances, before finding his contract had been torn up in 2023.

It’s not been any easier for the now 30-year-old attacker since his Baggies exit, with the former Denmark U21 international now unemployed after more goal-shy spells.

Zohore's numbers since leaving West Brom

Zohore ended up relocating over to Poland in the wake of being pushed out to West Brom, lining up for Slask Wroclaw in a bid to breathe life back into his stuttering playing days.

Yet, his time playing in the Ekstraklasa proved to be even more damaging than his spell in the Premier League, with Wroclaw also releasing the 30-year-old – who remains without a club – earlier this year after he continually fired blanks.

Zohore would never end up breaking his goalscoring duck whilst playing for Wroclaw, with the frustrated attacker even demoted to the reserves during his brief but damaging stint at the club.

Whilst West Brom have messed up in the transfer market previously, Corberan and Co did get a lot of deals right in the last window, especially with the phenomenal deal to gain Mikey Johnston back on a permanent basis.

Helping himself to an immense seven goals from just 18 games whilst out on loan last season, West Brom managed to win him back for good for just £3m, £5m less than Bilic and co forked out to land Zohore in what now goes down as a major blunder.

Corberan won’t want to have any similar misfires moving forward if the Baggies taste promotion up to the Premier League, as the West Midlands side aim to continue operating effectively, instead of splashing cash rashly.

وأسفرت القرعة التي أجريت الخميس عن مواجهة بين الزمالك متصدر المجموعة الرابعة ووصيف المجموعة الثانية ستيلينبوش يومي 3 أبريل و10 من نفس الشهر.
